Meenan P.A.’s Miriam Victorian Appointed to Chair Florida Bar Military Affairs Committee

Meenan P.A. announced today that Miriam O. Victorian, an attorney in their office, has been appointed by Florida Bar President Elect Gregory W. Coleman to serve as the Chair of the Military Affairs Committee from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015.

As Chair of the Committee, she will lead approximately 40 committee members in gathering and disseminating information and sharing their expertise with members of the Florida Bar on all matters relating to the practice of military law in Florida and facilitate providing legal services to military members, whether on active or reserve duty, or retired and their families.  The committee also seeks ways to enhance cooperation and communication between the local bar and the legal offices and judge advocates of the various military installations within the state.

A retired officer of the Air National Guard, Ms. Victorian represents companies, entities and persons regulated by the various state departments of insurance in the application and rate filing process and in administrative proceedings, as well as the Florida Insurance Guaranty Association, a statutorily created not for profit entity that acts as a safety net for claimants whose insurance carrier has been declared insolvent and liquidated.
