Tim Meenan hosted a panel including Florida Insurance Commissioner Mike Yaworsky, Florida State Representative Tom Fabricio, and Orange Insurance Exchange CEO Don Matz. The panel discussed the recent legislative changes in Florida which are beginning to heal a fractured residential property insurance market, what is bringing new companies like Orange Insurance Exchange into Florida, and what the Office of Insurance Regulation is doing to assure a growing and stable residential property insurance market. Rates are expected to stabilize. Of the 7 new residential property insurers entering the market, Meenan P.A. assisted five of them in their insurance company licensing or acquisition approvals. The panel and Don Matz discussed the trend towards forming insurance reciprocals, in lieu of traditional stock companies, including three clients of Meenan P.A., Tower Hill Insurance Exchange, Orange Insurance Exchange, and the massive expansion of Trusted Resources Underwriters Exchange.
