The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) issued a press release today, December 1, 2015, reminding Medicare recipients with existing Medigap Plan C or F coverage that they can keep that plan. The press release references to congressional changes in the Medicare Access CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015, but explains that those changes do not prevent current Medicare recipients or any recipients enrolled in Medicare prior to 2020. Medicare recipients who wish to keep their Medigap C or F plans may do so for as long as they remain eligible and enrolled in the plan. The full text of the OIR press release can be viewed here.
